FAQs
Do you carry out animal testing for your cosmetic products? |
We do not carry out animal testing, nor do we use contractors to do so, either in Germany or abroad. To guarantee the safety of our products, we only use well-known and proven ingredients. |
| There have recently been significant legislative advances in this respect. Since 1998, German animal protection legislation prohibits the use of animal testing in the development of cosmetic products. In autumn 2004, an EU directive was introduced prohibiting the use of animals in testing finished cosmetics. |
Can your cosmetic products cause allergies? |
Increases in the number of allergies have been reported for years. There are numerous causes that are found in the natural environment, in food, in the workplace - and some of them also in ingredients for cosmetics. For this reason, the term "allergy free" is invalid. It is important that individuals suffering from allergies know the substances they are allergic to, in order to avoid future contact. Therefore, it is down to the individual to determine the effects of specific products. |
What ingredients do your cosmetics contain? |
We use a wide range of ingredients in our products. The ingredients contained in each product are listed on the reverse label of our products. Nearly all of our raw materials are plant-based. |
Do you use animal-based ingredients for your cosmetics? |
The basic formulas for our products contain only plant-based or purely artificial raw materials. However, active ingredients may contain a proportion of animal-based substances. Such information is found on the reverse label of our products. They include, for example, honey (INCI: MEL), milk (INCI: LAC), silk (INCI: SILK, SERICA, SERICIN), keratin (INCI: KERATINE), chitin/chitosan (INCI: CHITINE/CHITOSANE) and pearls (INCI: PEARL). |
How durable are your products? |
Our products remain fresh for a minimum of 30 months unopened. The date of production is found as a six-digit code on the reverse label of our products (the first digit denotes the year of production). The expiration date as of the time of opening is shown in a pot symbol and denotes the number of months the product will remain fresh when opened. |
