Criteria like energy efficiency and renewable sources of energy play an important role in our decision-making processes when purchasing new equipment and manufacturing our care products. In order to protect the environment and its natural resources, we see it as our duty to put special measures in place to keep our energy consumption as low as possible. We are therefore also conscious of energy efficiency statistics when planning new systems. The figures on their energy consumption are scrutinised in detail, for example, before they are purchased. Their water consumption is also taken into account. We specifically seek out systems and equipment which have a relatively small surface area so as to minimise water consumption to the greatest possible extent. There is less surface to clean and consequently lower amounts of water and detergent are needed. Our facility management team is currently working with our project engineers to develop a standard specification which will be issued to potential suppliers in future tenders. This standard sets out clear criteria for machines in terms of their energy efficiency and water consumption. The manufacturers are given clear guidelines in this way on the designs and fittings required for the MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP machines because they have to serve us in the long term and be conducive to efficient and eco-friendly working practices.
