Groundbreaking Ceremony in Hüffenhardt

On June 15, 2026, the moment had finally arrived: The MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP held the official groundbreaking ceremony for its new production and office building in Hüffenhardt. Managing Director Christine Steger, District Administrator Dr. Achim Brötel, Mayor Christian Laier, and architect Volker Sternemann joined forces to break ground—thereby sending a clear signal of innovation, securing a skilled workforce, and sustainable growth in the region.

“A groundbreaking ceremony is more than just a date on the calendar. It is the moment when a decision we’ve made becomes a visible commitment to our future at this location: We are here. And we’re staying here,” said Christine Steger, CEO of the MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP.

A modern building is being constructed on approximately 3,600 square meters, combining production and office space under one roof:

• Ground floor: New production facilities, including a bottling hall covering approximately 2,800 square meters, as well as a spacious break room with an outdoor terrace and additional changing rooms and restrooms
• Upper floor: Modern office spaces combining traditional private offices, open-plan areas, and work cafés
• The building is complemented by four landscaped atriums for natural lighting and ventilation

The building will be approximately twelve meters tall. A total of about 35 companies will be involved in the project until its planned completion at the end of 2027.

The project reflects a clear corporate strategy: The MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP has been growing steadily for years—and is deliberately shaping this growth in Germany. With approximately 950 employees, including 50 apprentices and dual-track students, the family-owned company is investing not only in facilities but also in the people who work and learn here.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, District Administrator Dr. Achim Brötel praised the significance of the investment for the entire region: It secures and creates jobs and training positions directly in the district and underscores the company’s role as a reliable business partner.

Part of a Larger Investment Package

The new building in Hüffenhardt is not the family-owned company’s only major project. At the headquarters in Siegelsbach, plans are already underway to build a fully automated logistics center— with a budget of around 30 million euros, it is the largest single investment in the company’s history. Together, these two projects underscore the MANN & SCHRÖDER COSMETICS GROUP’s ambition: We still have big plans here.
